1. Connect Blog site to Google Search Console

Adding a blog to Google WebMaster Tool (Google Search Console) is very important task to enhancing your blog's existence on Google search results. It helps to allow your site from google crawlers to rank on top in search results. There are many things in webmaster tool that can be tracked for detail analysis of your blog. You can submit your Blog's Xml Sitemap to Google search console to enhance ranking.

You can check overall performance of your blog on google to get an exact idea for taking necessary steps to improve your performance. You can check your impressions and clicks on your website, check keywords, Position in search results, Errors on your blog, no. of visitors with time, PageSpeed Insights, Internal/External links, Indexing Status and also you can request indexing manually by inspecting url.

Using this tool you can fix any issue on your site. To use Google Search Console you have to Sign Up with your google account and add your Website URL in add property option.

2. Link your site to Google Analytics

Google Analytics is s popular web analytics service developed by google. It offers user to check real time Website performance and track the activities done on websites by users such as Pageviews, Session duration, Audience overview, User activity by location, Bounce rate, Users Acquisition etc.

Use the customizable dashboard to show all major tracked reports from your site in single view. You can track real time user behaviour on your website to know the type of users, content according user interest, Traffic sources etc.

You need to Sign Up Google Analytics with your google account to Link your Site in Analytics. I'm using Analytics from past 1 year to track my site and it really helps me to boost in my website traffic.

3. Inspect Your Blog Using SEO Tools

After starting a new blog, Just publishing a many posts is not enough but you should inspect your website for Broken Links, Image/Link analyse, Plagiarism, page speed etc. These are very important factors affecting on your site performance.

There are many popular tools available such as Ahref, SEMrush etc., you can purchase it online to get detail report of your site. But if you can't afford the price of tools then you can go for some free tools. Personally I like Internetmarketingninjas to find the errors in website pages. It properly detects page and url errors instantly.

Using this tool, you can do backlinks analysis of any site also you can use this tools for keyword research for your blog posts.

4. Create Important Pages On Your Blog

If you check any website on web then you will found some important pages like About, Contact Us, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, Terms & conditions etc. These pages must have on your website or blog. You can use Privacy Policy Generator to create privacy Policy page by giving your website details, in same way you can create some other pages. These pages shows detail information about your site. If these pages are available on your blog then it helps to look your website/blog more trusty to visitors on your site.

These pages are more important for you to promote your business if you have a business site. These pages helps visitors to reach you for their business needs. So when you create your new blog then you must add this pages on your blog. If you applying to Google Adsense for monetization then it is mandatory to have this pages on your site.

5. BackLinks and Keyword Research

Once your blog having sufficient posts, you need to generate backlinks to increase the traffic on your blog. There are two types of backlinks, 1) dofollow Backlinks and 2) nofollow backlinks. You can get backlinks from sites like Quora, also you can Submit articles to get backlinks.

The second thing is Keyword Research for your blog posts. This is very important factor while creating posts for your blog. You should always choose right keywords which are relevant with your blog niche. Initially you have to choose keywords having less competition, don't choose branded keywords initially for your blog because there is huge competition hence it is difficult to rank on google. Always use keyword with long title while making new post on your blog. You can use keyword research tools like Ahref, SEMrush etc. these are paid tools. But initially I will suggest you to use free tools if you can't bear paid tools price. I personally used Google Keyword Planner for keyword research initially.
